Sep.1,2017-- Southwest China’s Tibet offers 15 years of free education from kindergarten to high school, including for students who attend vocational schools after graduating from middle or high school, said Lu Huadong, deputy director of the Tibet Poverty Alleviation Office

Lu Huadong also said that this is also a part of the struggle against poverty. In order to improve the level of education for students in impoverished highland areas such as Nagchu and Ngari, Tibet established three Nagchu middle schools for Nagchu and one  middle school for Ngari in Lhasa. As a result, student enrollment rates for these areas have improved significantly, and there is a new hope for families to alleviate poverty in the long run.
