June 8, 2017 -- On June 6, Tibetan Traditional Medical College, the only public Tibetan traditional medical institution of higher education that is approved by the Ministry of Education, held graduation ceremony and 24 postgraduates gained graduation certificates. So far, the number of postgraduates cultivated by Tibetan Traditional Medical College reaches 212.

 

In 1999, the master degree program of national medicine (Tibetan medicine) was approved. The postgraduate education mainly centers on cultivating top academic talents with initiative spirit and who are engaged in scientific research, teaching, clinic, and management work.

 

Tibetan Traditional Medical College recruits students who are from Tibet Autonomous Region and Tibetan areas in Sichuan, Qinghai, Gansu and Yunnan.

 

Traditional Tibetan medicine is excellent traditional culture of Tibetan people and treasure of national medicine.

 

Nima Tsering, dean of Tibetan Traditional Medical College, says that this college mainly cultivates traditional Tibetan medicine talents. In the practice of running this college for 28 years, the multi-level education system with undergraduate education, postgraduate education and continuing education is formed.
