Yak Museum of Tibet to reopen in mid April

April 6,2017--Yak Museum of Tibet is located in Liuwu New District in the regional capital of Lhasa and covers a floor space of more than 8,000 square meters.
 
In mid October, 2016, the yak-themed museum in Tibet, the world's first of its kind, closed tempoearily for the activites of "Plateau Yak Culture Exhibition in Beijing". According to the Yak Museum of Tibet, this activity lasted from mid October of last year to March 15, 2017, which has received a good reputation.
 
Yaks, as the earliest animals domesticated by Tibetans, have played an essential role over thousands of years in fields including transportation, agriculture, medicinal science, culture and art. For Tibetan people, the yak is not only essential to life but also belief and faith.
 
At present, Tibet Yak Museum is busy recovering the exhibitions and plans to reopen to the public in mid April. The specific opening time will be issued through its wechat subscription or the media.
