TV documentary 'Himalaya: Ladder to Paradise' airs

March 16,2017--Himalaya: Ladder to Paradise, a five-part documentary sharing a name with the movie version, has begun airing on TV since March 6.
 
Called 'the hardest documentary to make in history', it's an expanded version of the movie which depicts how a group of young people at a Tibet hiking school become climbing guides after training and ultimately scale the peak of the Himalayas.
 
According to members of the Tibetan hiking team, the documentary will have more details, more characters, and more stories compared to the movie, which premiered in 2015 and broke the box office record for non-commercial documentaries in China, and won many awards.
