During the 2017 Spring Festival travel period, temporary passenger trains from Xining to Xi'an, Xining to Lhasa, Xining to Golmud and Lhasa to Shigatse were added on the base of 58.5 pairs of passenger trains every day. In a word, the number of temporary passenger trains operated during the Spring Festival travel period is 137, increasing 162,000 extra tickets for transportations.

 

While doing well in terms of passenger transportation, Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company also enhanced the transportation and organization for key-point products and festival supplies so as to gurantee the market supply. During the 2017 Spring Festival travel period, a total of 4.16 million tons’ goods were transported, up 37 percent year-on-year. As of Feb. 23, the number of Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company's daily truck loading on average is 2,408, creating a new record during the Spring Festival.
