Jan. 25, 2017 -- Seven schools in Shanghai have opened inland Tibetan classes as of 2016 with a total enrollment exceeding 1,700.
Jinyuan Senior High School has cultivated more than 200 Tibetan students since 2002, and123 Tibetan students are at school now. Each Tibetan student has been paired with a teacher, and the school organizes a variety of extra-curricular activities on a regular basis.
Weng Tiehui, vice mayor of Shanghai, visited students and teachers of the inland Tibetan classes yesterday to wish them a happy new year.
