Nov. 7, 2016 -- A total of 467,100 people in Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region, have been covered by the five social insurance systems, according to Lhasa’s Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.
In Lhasa, 216,000 urban residents have joined the old-age insurance system, including 39,000 urban employees.
67,000 urban residents including 55,000 urban employees have joined the medical insurance system and 41,000 urban employees have enlisted in the maternity insurance programs.
The cash subsidy for basic medical insurance has been raised from 340 yuan to 380 yuan per person a year.
50,000 employees have joined the employment injury insurance system and 14,000 employees have been covered by the unemployment insurance.
