Since the Sichuan-Tibet power grid project was put into operation on November 20, 2014,various running indexes have all met the design standards and requirements, which plays an important role in promoting the social and economic development of eastern Tibet areas and improving Chamdo people's living conditions. By August 19, this project has transferred 767 million kilowatt-hour to Chamdo and 361 million kilowatt-hour to Sichuan.

 

The overhaul mainly aims at the equipment inspection and testing of one500 kv substation, two 220 kv  substations, two 500 kv power transmission lines, and five 220kv power transmission lines, so as to eliminate equipment defects and hidden trouble and further improve the healthy operation level of important power transmission and transformation equipment.

 

This overhaul faces many adverse conditions such as extensive range, heavy workload, bad working environment and so on. Tibet Electric Power co., LTD positively and actively copes with these difficulties. At present, about 180 kilometers road has been repaired, doing a good preparation work for the first overhaul of Sichuan-Tibet power grid project.
