Chinese embassy in ROK holds open day on Tibet

Aug. 29, 2016 -- Chinese embassy in South Korea held a public open day on the theme of “to feel Tibet” on August 25. 
 
Qiu Guohong, Chinese ambassador to South Korea, Wang Yandong, director of the ethnology and anthropology research institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Yoon Deok-hong, South Korea’s former deputy prime minister and people from different circles attended this activity.
 
Over 40 pictures were on exhibited to introduce Tibetan customs, environment and social development, together with a film of Roof of the World.
 
Tibet has built a cooperative relationship with Gyeonggsangnam-do in South Korea, the first time for Tibet to build relations with foreign regions, said ambassador Qiu. 
 
This activity will provide Korean people a better knowledge of Tibet and promote communication and cooperation between Tibet and South Korea.
 
As a tradition since 2013, Chinese embassy in South Korea organizes public open day every year to introduce China’s economic and social development and foreign policies.
