|Aug.15, 2016 -- Lhasa, capital of China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, will invest 460 million yuan to build a waste incineration power plant to achieve rapid, harmless and maximum garbage disposal, according to local authorities.
The plant is expected to open at the end of this year and about 700 tons of garbage can be disposed every day.
Meanwhile, heat energy caused by waste incineration will be recycled.
"This project will make a better layout for Lhasa’s garbage disposal and improve the efficiency of garbage disposal, which will contribute to Lhasa’s sustainable development," said an official in charge of the project.
