GDP growth in Tibet reaching 10.6% in first half of 2016

Aug.2, 2016 -- According to Tibet Autonomous Region's Government, the GDP growth in Tibet has reached 10.6 percent in the first half of this year, 3.9 percent higher than the national average level. 
 
Since the begining of this year, Tibet has been vigorously promoting the structural reform of supply side, reinforcing the economic operation and accelerating the implementation schedule of the Thirteenth-Five Year Plan. Data show that the growths of the major economic indicators, such as fixed assets investment, total retail sales of consumer goods, disposable personal income of rural residents, disposable personal income of urban residents and so on, rank front row in the country. The economic growth and quality efficiency in Tibet has raised significantly.
 
With the economy's fast growing, Tibet also put forth effort to ensure and improve people's wellbeing as well as put more financial resources into the people's livelihood construction field.  Various works relevent to poverty alleviation start orderly, which has completed an investment of over two billion yuan RMB.
