Lhasa rated as "most popular" city
update:July 25,2016
July 25, 2016 -- Lhasa, capital of China’s Tibet Autonomous Region was listed into “the most popular cities in Eastern Asia and Southeastern Asia of the World Travel Award” by Travel+Leisure, a well-known travel magazine.
The list was launched by Travel+Leisure which invited over 4 million senior travelers to vote for the greatest cities, islands, airlines awards and so on.
Lhasa was the only Chinese city to be listed.
Every year, batches of tourists from home and abroad came to visit Lhasa, the city of sunshine.
“Some come to Tibet at least once, and someone for many times,” said Mr. Jiang who ran a Youth Hotel. “Tibet is full of tourism resources including both natural beauties and cultural scenes”.
“More and more people want to be more free in their traveling, thus we rent cars from local travel agencies. Only drivers, without guides, tourists could feel free to go where they want,” added Mr. Jiang.
Meanwhile, Lhasa has reached a cooperation agreement with related cities in the Region to launch some new travel lines to meet the needs of different tourists.
Besides, Lhasa works with major travel websites to create an ecological model of Internet+tourism.
