July 8, 2016 -- The Forum on the Development of Tibet opened Thursday in Lhasa.

More than 130 experts, scholars and correspondents from over 30 countries and regions attended the forum which was co-hosted by the State Council Information Office and the Tibetan regional government.

“This is my first time to come to Tibet. I like Tibetans very much. Tibetans are very enthusiastic and warm-hearted. They wave hands and smile to foreigners like me,” said Susan Denise Edwards, an American teacher at Beijing Language and Culture University.

“Tibetan culture really shocked me. I visited the Potala Palace and other monasteries these days, They are very beautiful and splendid. As the schedule is really tight, I want to revisit them some time later”, said Susan.

“I want to learn Tibetan culture if I have an opportunity. I am so interested in Tibetan culture,” she added.
