Express delivery business in Tibet growing steadily

June 28, 2016 -- In recent years, Tibet Autonomous Region has been positively simplifing administrative procedures, delegating powers to lower levels, perfecting approval process, reasonably disposing administrative resources of postal administration department as well as perfecting postal management system. As of now, there are a total of 22 express brands in Tibet Autonomous Region, including EMS, S.F. Express, Yunda Express, YTO Express and so on. In 2015, the total business of the postal industry in Tibet was 259 million yuan RMB, increasing 8.22% compared with that of 2014.
 
At present, the average time of handling licensing changes has been shortened to 8 days, and the average handling time for “green channel” enterprises has been reduced to 5 days.
 
In 2015, the total business of the postal industry in Tibet was 259 million yuan RMB, up 8.22% compared with that of 2014. The business income of the whole region’s postal industry (excluding direct operating revenue of post office savings bank) totaled 414 million yuan RMB, up 5.32% year-on-year. Among these, the number of the whole region’s enterprise express business totaled 5.7832 million, a 19.41% year-on-year growth. The momentum of the postal industry in Tibet is sound and is in line with expectations as well.
