Tibet's Princess Wencheng large-scale live-action epic drama production team has joined with the Beijing Film Academy to invest 200 million yuan (31.7 million US dollars) in preparation for the film Mission Unpredicable, which will be set against a similar background as Princess Wencheng.

The Princess Wencheng opened six years ago. The play tells the love story between King Songtsen Gampo of the Tibetan Kingdom and Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty. Now, the production team of Princess Wencheng is creating a new cultural brand following the epic drama. The aforementioned film is currently in its preliminary stage, with shooting to begin in October 2018.
