Oct. 25, 2017 -- China’s first annotation edition of Great Ancient Tibetan Manuscript of Bonismo was released recently, according to Qinghai Nationalities Publishing House.

The book introduces ancient cultures and traditions of the Tibetan Tubo Kingdom, including myths of Genesis, worship for mountain gods, doctrines of original Bonismo and eulogies at traditional Tibetan sacrificial rituals. Meanwhile, it transcribes the texts of Bonismo line by line and explains some specific terms and symbols.

As the most systematic and comprehensive annotation book, it will help scholars further study Tibet’s history of thoughts, civilization, science and technology, medicine and religion.
