Tibetan cultural delegation visits Sydney

Aug.30,2017--A Tibetan cultural delegation, headed by Wang Yanwen, associate inspector from the State Council Information Office (SCIO), visited Sydney from August 27th to 29th.
 
The delegation was composed of Tibetology scholars and Tibetan officials from Beijing and Tibet.
 
During the visit, the delegation met with Gu Xiaojie, Chinese Consul General in Sydney, and representatives from Chinese-language media in Australia.
 
The delegation gave an introduction of Tibet’s achievements in recent years in economic and social development and answered questions.
 
The media representatives praised China’s efforts to promote Tibet’s development and hoped to have an opportunity to visit Tibet in the future.
 
The delegation will also visit Canberra and Auckland in New Zealand.
