Tibetan cultural delegation visits Mongolia

Aug. 18, 2017 -- Sponsored by the State Council Information Office (SCIO), a Tibetan cultural delegation visited Mongolia from August 14th to 15th.

The delegation, headed by Zhou Weiren, Director of Religion Research Institute of China Tibetology Research Center, was composed of experts in Tibetology and Tibetan medicine, Tibetan leaders and Living Buddhas from Beijing and Tibet.

During the visit, the group held a symposium at the Chinese embassy in Mongolia and exchanged views with Mongolian scholars and journalists.

At the symposium, the group gave an introduction of the economic and social development, livelihood improvement, opening-up in Tibet, the reincarnation of Tibetan Living Buddhas and other Tibet-related issues.

The delegation also paid a visit to two Mongolian temples.
