June 5, 2017 -- Qinghai Cultural Week was inaugurated at the Chinese Cultural Center in Madrid, capital of Spain, on the evening of May 23, according to Spanish El Periodico.
This event was sponsored by China’s Ministry of Culture and Qinghai provincial government.
The event was a platform for west China’s Qinghai to show its folk dancing, music, handcrafts and traditional clothes,. More theme activities like intangible cultural heritage exhibitions will be held in the next months to show the long history and rich cultures in Qinghai.
Si Cairen, deputy director of Qinghai Bureau of Culture and Press, said at the opening ceremony that the two-way cultural exchanges would strengthen friendship between China and Spain.
“In the next months, the Chinese cultural center in Madrid will invite Spanish people to get a taste of the ethnic and religious diversity in Qinghai and the inclusiveness of the Chinese culture,” said Liu Wenqiu, cultural counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Spain.
