June 5, 2017 -- According to the project office of the 2017 11th China Lhasa Namtso Walking Convention, the China Lhasa Namtso Walking Convention will be held from 19 to 24, August, 2017. At present, the team member recruitment work has been officially launched. Travel enthusiasts and outdoor enthusiasts can choose to sign up in Lhasa or Chengdu.

 

Namtso Walking Convention is an important part of the China Lhasa Shoton Festival and Lhasa travel brand promotion activity. During the convention, welcome banquet, launching ceremony, and celebratory dinner will be held for walking members. In addition, unique programs with Tibetan characteristics such as Tibetan meals, bonfire Guozhuang, toasting song, roast whole lamb, making butter tea, squeezing Zanba, weaving yak-hair rope and so on will also be held, enabling walking members to experience Tibetan folk customs. Besides, they will be invited to take part in Shoton activities such as Buddha exhibition, Tibetan opera performance, and cultural show.

 

This Namtso Walking Convention is divided into professional groups and experience groups. Winners will be awarded with memorial medals and certificates. Besides, walking members will be organized to visit the Potala Palace, Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, and other scenic spots.
