May 26,2017--Kathmandu Writers Residence of the October Literature Academy was inaugurated in the Tibetan Bookstore of China in Nepal Wednesday.
It is the academy’s third overseas residence after Prague and Edinburgh. Kathmandu, the birthplace of Buddha, has deep cultural bonds with China, said Zhao Lanzhen, vice president of the October Literature Academy.
The bilateral cooperation could help more Nepalese people to understand Tibet and China, and strengthen connections between the people, said Gowali, head of the Tibetan Bookstore of China.
Liu Qingbang was the first Chinese writer to live in the Kathmandu Writers Residence. By living here, writers will dig deeper in Nepalese lives and get more inspirations.
