Tibet’s cultural development projects basically defined for 13th Five Year Plan

Dec. 30, 2016 -- According to the Culture Department of Tibet Autonomous Region, at present, Tibet's cultural development projects have been basically defined for the 13th Five Year Plan with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. These projects involve 3 categories namely Tibet Grand Theater, city or prefecture level cultural infrastructure construction, and Tibetan cultural protection and inheritance. In other words, there are more than 20 subjects.
 
2016 is the beginning year of the 13th Five Year Plan. Now, various woks of the Tibet Grand Theater project is carried out orderly. The projects of Chamdo Library, Nyingchi Mass Art Gallery, Nagqu Mass Art Gallery and Ngari Art Gallery, as well as the construction of intangible cultural heritages protection facilities are organized and carried out. In addition, the construction project of Tibetan opera and Thangka art inheritance base is pushed forward in order.
 
In September this year, the 5th working meeting on national cultural aid to Tibet was held, confirming that transfer payment from central government must be not lower than 1 billion yuan. Relying on the department resources of the Ministry of Culture, inclination and support in the field of policy, planning, fund, project, personnel, activity and so on will be given to Tibet. There are 63 aid-Tibet projects with an investment of no less than 100 million yuan.
