Dec. 27, 2016 -- The three-day 6th Tibet Thangka Art Fair closed on Dec. 25 in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. More than 5,000 people attended the fair. The exhibit featured 92 Thangka artworks, 18 of which are excellent Thangka paintings. It aims to strengthen the inheritance and development of Tibet's excellent traditional culture and further explore the blossom of Thangka industry.
Thangka Industry's Development Academic Summit Forum was held yesterday at the hall of Tibet Mass Art Gallery. Four experts at the forum interacted with people in terms of the development and inheritance of Thangka.
This art fair will accelerate the construction of an important Chinese ethnic culture protection site and implement the traditional handicraft revival plan. The culture industry will play an essential part in the construction of “One Belt, One Road” and the China-South Asia Continental Passage by the development of Thangka industry.
