Tibet starts compilation of ancient documents

Oct. 9, 2016 -- A work station for compiling the Tibetan Volume of the Chinese Encyclopedia has recently been established in Tibet University.
The compilation work was launched by China Tibetology Research Center in 2013 to protect and -preserve traditional Tibetan culture.
 
The Tibetan Volume will include original works of Tibetan scholars ranging from the 7th to 20th century.
 
Over 6 million ancient Tibetan documents have been discovered in China. The Tibetan Volume project will last for 15 years and over ten thousand books will be included.
