3rd China Tibet Tourism and Culture Expo concluded

Sept. 20, 2016 -- The 3rd China Tibet Tourism and Culture Expo concluded on September 16. It gained great success not only in scale but also in content.
 
18 items of activities including opening ceremony, itinerant exhibition, contract signing, propaganda, forum, performance and so on were held during the expo. Covering an area of over 30000 square meters, 536 enterprises (units) and more than 1000 kinds of products took part in this expo. The sales turnover was nearly 50 million yuan. In addition, 146 investment projects were signed and the amount of contractual investment capital reached 108.43 billion yuan. 16 key projects were signed and the total investment was nearly 10 billion yuan.
 
6 forums including theme forum, tourism forum, cultural forum, Tibetan medicine forum, youth innovation and entrepreneurship development forum, and natural drinking water summit conference were held. Nearly 70 well-known experts and scholars were invited to have deep discussion and wide communication on the Belt and Road initiative as well as building Tibet as an important channel to South Asia. This further deepened the view of promoting Tibet’s tourism and cultural industry, broadened the thought of the industrial integrative development, and united the power of regional coordination development.
 
"With international influence, national radiometric power and regional driving force, China Tibet Tourism and Culture Expo is becoming the platform for high-end showcase, open cooperation and trade communication. In addition, it is becoming the new carrier of innovative development, the new engine of green development, and the new momentum of scientific development," said Deng Xiaogang, deputy party secretary and vice chairman of Tibet Autonomous Region.
