Oceania’s joint delegation visits Tibet

Aug. 29, 2016 -- Oceania’s joint delegation of 24 members from 14 Councils for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification organized by China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification visited Tibet from Aug.15 to Aug.21.
 
The joint delegation was led by Feng Jilin, minister of the overseas liaison department of China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification.
 
"Through the visit, I felt the development of Tibet’s economic progress, and I’ve seen Tibet’s harmonious ethnic relations. This activity is very meaningful," Tian Fei said.
 
"The Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification will continue play the role of supporting the development of Tibet’s society and fight against overseas separatist forces, maintaining national sovereignty and territorial integrity," he added.
 
"From Nyingchi to Lhasa, I saw the beautiful scenery, exquisite two storeys Tibetan-style houses, picturesque schools, and happy smiles on Tibetan faces," said Wang Ran, Common head of the joint delegation.
 
"Through one week’s visit, we have new understanding of Tibet. We will bring more friends to Tibet and will continue to play the unique role of overseas Chinese to boost Tibet’s development," Said Yuan Bingtang, Common head of the joint delegation.
 
Liu Sha, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of Tibet Autonomous Region held a meeting with the delegation.
