1st Tubo cultural forum held in Lhasa

Aug. 25, 2016 -- The 1st Tibet Tubo Cultural Forum was held in Lhasa Tuesday attracting experts on Tubo culture and history.
 
The forum focused on the Tubo civilization and its impact on contemporary Tibet.
 
Folk songs and stories should be collected and sorted out to combine with local attractions. While protecting historical monuments, the government should develop local tourism, scholars suggested.
 
In addition, experts recommended a variety of cultural lectures on its folklore, history and special culture should be held to help people understand Tubo culture.
 
Tubo culture is of great historical value. Suggestions given by the experts at the forum are conducive to enhancing the visibility of Tubo culture and promoting local cultural tourism, said An Xingguo, party chief of Qiongjie County.
