Tibet's Yak Museum: a cultural landmark of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

May 20, 2016 -- It is reported that the 40th International Museum Day fell on May 18, which also marked the second anniversary of Tibet's Yak Museum building. Over the past two years, Yak Museum, also called "the cultural landmark of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau", received more than 100,000 visitors from both home and abroad.
 
"Yak, the treasure of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, has played an essential role over thousands of years in transportation, agriculture, medicine, culture and art. The yak is also the unique symbol of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, representing kindness, hardworking and tenacity of Tibetan people," said Wu Yuchu, curator of Tibet's Yak Museum.
