Dec. 4, 2018 -- A TV program Gangri Tsatang produced by the Khampa TV of southwest China's Sichuan Province will be broadcast on Nepalese two satellite TV channels, including Nepal Himalaya TV, and four cable TV stations after a broadcasting signing ceremony was held in Kathmandu on November 28.

Gangri Tsatang is a humanity magazine-style TV program planned, shot, and produced by Khampa TV for overseas audiences. The program uses video to depict a series of sceneries of the rapid socio-economic development, rich cultural and artistic prosperity, and harmonious and happy people's lives in the Tibetan-inhabited areas of Sichuan.

Khampa TV is a public welfare TV media that uses the Kham Tibetan dialect to disseminate news and serve Tibetan-inhabited areas. Its programs are broadcast in five provinces in China including the Tibet Autonomous Region, Qinghai, and Sichuan provinces.

According to Han Jian, a member of the editors' committee of Khampa TV, the broadcasting of Gangri Tsatang is going to further deepen the friendship between the Chinese and Nepali people and the vast Nepali audience can learn about Tibetan-inhabited areas of Sichuan from this program.

"At the same time, it can also provide unique spiritual sustenance with hometown characteristics for Tibetans living in Nepal," he said.
