Mar. 16, 2018 -- Pema Tibetans are mainly concentrated in Wenxian County in Longnan City, northwest China's Gansu Province and in Jiuzhaigou County in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture and Pingwu County in Mianyang City, both in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
 
There are more than 6,500 Pema Tibetans in Wenxian County, which has the largest number and has been crowned the "Hometown of China's Pema Tibetan Folk Culture".

The Pema people originally centered their way of life around the worship of nature and of all living things, which then grew into the ancient Pema Tibetan folk culture. Pema Tibetan folk culture is an important part of Gansu's cultural makeup.
