UN issues stamps to highlight endangered species protection

Feb.20, 2020 -- The United Nations Postal Administration issued the 27th edition of endangered species stamps series on February 17th. All the 12 kinds of animals presented on the stamps are listed on the appendixes of the Convention on Migratory Species and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species. The date of issue is from Feb.17th to 22nd.
 
The series of stamps designed by Sandra Masiella from Portugal presented animals all over the world including hammerhead shark, Phoenicopterus Andinus, Dalmatian pelican, Egyptian Vulture and Equus kiang.
 
Since the foundation of the United Nations Postal Administration in 1951, it has issued more than 1,000 kinds of stamps with topics of general concerns around the world.
