Feb.5, 2020 -- In 2019, Tibet Autonomous Region put a total of 11.7 billion yuan in ecological protection, up by over 20% compared with that in 2018. For prefecture-level cities, the number of days with good air quality accounted for more than 99% last year. All surface water has been up to the quality standard. In Tibet, 45% of the region has been under the strictest protection. In recent years, 17 counties, 213 towns and 2,373 villages have been designated as Regional Eco-County, Eco-Town and Eco-Village.
