China’s Tibetan delegation visits Switzerland

Oct.15, 2019 -- A Tibetan delegation of China's National People's Congress (NPC) meets with Stokley, First Deputy President of the Federal Chamber of the Swiss Federal Assembly.
 
Oct.15, 2019 -- A Tibetan delegation of China's National People's Congress (NPC) visited Switzerland from October 9th to 13th.
 
The delegation, headed by Ni Ma Ci Ren, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Tibet Autonomous Region, held talks with Swiss parliament members, local government officials and Tibetan people in Switzerland.
 
Ni Ma Ci Ren gave an introduction of the successful application of the central government’s policies, the people's congress system and the ethnic autonomy system in Tibet, and the tremendous achievements the region has made in political, economic, social, cultural, religious and ecological areas since the democratic reform of Tibet in 1959.
 
Stokley, First Deputy President of the Federal Chamber of the Swiss Federal Assembly, spoke highly of the remarkable economic and social achievements in Tibet. He would promote legislative cooperation between Switzerland and China.
