Photo exhibition on Sino-Israeli relations held in Tel Aviv

July 11, 2019 -- A retrospective photo exhibition themed on “Meet Across Millennium·YOU AND US” was held in Tel Aviv, Israel on July 2, 2019.

As part of the culture event series “Meet Across Millennium”, the exhibition presented the history of exchanges and cooperation between China and Israel in various fields since the establishment of diplomatic ties, and the lives of Jewish people who lived in China’s Henan and Shanghai, showcasing the profound friendship between the two nations during both war and peace times.

Guests including Sun Zhijun, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central committee, Gilad Cohen, Deputy Director General of the Asia and the Pacific Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, and Zhan Yongxin, Chinese Ambassador to Israel, visited the exhibition and watched a documentary on the lives of Jewish people in Shanghai.

The retrospective exhibition provided a reminder that both the two nations boast a long history, splendid culture and good relationship. We should continue to promote China- Israel relations in the new era, said Sun.

The event was co-sponsored by the State Council Information Office (SCIO) of China and the Chinese embassy in Israel.

A series of culture activities including art performances, books exhibition and films screening will also be held in Israel.
