Mar. 26, 2019 -- In recent years, Zhaxigang Village, located in Bayi District of Lulang Town, Nyingchi City, Tibet Autonomous Region, has transformed itself from a remote and poor mountainous village to a tourism spot.
 
In 2018, the village received more than 75,000 tourists and pocketed more than 4 million yuan in tourism revenue. The village’s total revenue hit 11.61 million yuan, and the per capita income of the villagers reached 23,087 yuan.
 
Tibet has formulated and issued a series of policies to boost tourism to improve people’s lives.
 
With abundant tourism resources, Zhaxigang village aims to build itself into a model tourism destination in the whole region and even the whole country.
