In 2018, a total of 75,000 hectares of trees were planted in the region. 667,000 job opportunities in the ecological industry were created for villagers. Ecological subsidies per person were increased to 3,500 yuan per year.

Tibet, with vast primitive forests and abundant natural resources, will invest more to advance ecological civilization, start to build a cluster of national parks and strengthen afforestation efforts, said Qizhala, chairman of the regional government.
.
We will guarantee a 20 percent growth of investment in ecological protection in 2019, said Qizhala.
