July 3,2018--The culture event series “Experience China 2018--the Culture of Western China in Ukraine” which was organized by the State Council Information Office of China, kicked off in Kiev, capital of Ukraine on June 26,2018. 

 

A Silk Road themed dance drama entitled “Magical Silk Road” was performed by the Gansu Dance Theatre, showcasing the diversity of Chinese culture.

 

The dance drama attracted an audience of about 500 people, including Ukrainian Vice Premier Kirilenko and former Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk.

 

Zheng Wei, charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine and Minister Counselor said " Experience China " has become a high-end brand, wining applause from the five Continents in recent years. The three-day event has been highly valued and strongly supported by the Chinese and Ukrainian governments and people from all walks of life. The event is a clear signal that people of the two countries are willing to strengthen cooperation and deepen mutual trust. 

 

For generations, the Chinese and Ukrainian people have enjoyed a friendly relationship, and shared a common aspiration for a better life. China is willing to work together with the people of Ukraine to make full use of its advantages and carry out the cooperative projects in various fields to bring real benefits to the people of the two countries, Zheng added.

 

Apart from the dance drama, the culture event also featured a photo exhibition and a documentary film about western China.
