June 25,2018--The culture event series “Experience China 2018 -- the culture of western China in Hungary” was held in Budapest, capital of Hungary. More than 600 people from all walks of life in Hungary attended the event.
Lu Guangjin, director-general of the Human Rights Affairs Department of the State Council Information Office of China, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. This event includes folk singing and dancing performances themed on silk road, a photo exhibition and screening two documentaries on nature and people in Western China. It is hoped that this cultural exchange will serve as a window for Hungarian people to feel the western culture of China, said Lu.
Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Hungary Liu Bo said the " Experience China" event will help the Hungarians get a closer understanding of China. Through the western culture of China, the Hungarian people will get a better picture of Chinese history and civilization, which will promote mutual understanding between the two peoples and build consensus for bilateral cooperation under the Belt and Road initiative.
Curcio Yini·Hutto ·Anike, deputy secretary of state of Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources, said China is a big country with a rich culture. Chinese paintings, silk and porcelains are part of the Chinese culture. We can get a taste of Chinese culture through the singing and dancing performances.
