Ukrainian delegation visits Tibet
update:May 22,2018
May 22,2018--A Ukrainian delegation paid a six-day visit to Tibet from May 13.
During the visit, the delegation was impressed by the achievements Tibet has made in social governance, cultural inheritance, education and medical care, media development and ecological protection.
It was Saga Dawa Festival when the delegation was visiting Tibet. “We are very glad to witness the Tibetan festival,” said a Ukrainian official.
When visiting an industrial park at Qushui County, Lhasa, the Tibetan modernized agriculture impressed the delegation. “These pollution-free green products are very much in line with our consumption concept,” said a Ukrainian editor who spent 600 yuan buying the products as gifts for his family.
After visiting relocated families from poverty-stricken areas in Lhasa, a journalist of National News Agency of Ukraine said:” The cards posted on the wall of the farmers’ houses show the statistics about their poverty reduction and I can see that China’s efforts on poverty alleviation are quite effective.”
“This visit has refreshed our understanding of Tibet and we will tell what we have seen hereto people in Ukraine,” said a member.
