Mar. 7, 2018 -- As part of the Dingxie road upgrading project that connects Dingqing County with Bada Town in east Tibet's Changdu city, Xiela Mountain extra-long tunnel was completed on March 3rd, making it possible that the whole project will be finished by the end of this October.

With a total investment of 1.791 billion yuan, the Dingxie project was launched in August, 2015.

The project, as part of Tibet's highway network construction, will play an important role in boosting Changdu's development.

To build a high-quality tunnel on time, workers have to overcome extremely harsh natural environment and technical obstacles.
