Mar. 1, 2018 -- A campaign to search for China's high quality water sources was initiated in Guizhou province in April, 2017. After nearly one-year's field investigation, five water sources have been recognized as China's high quality water sources, including Sanjiangyuan in Qinghai province.

Sanjingyuan boasts rich water resources and enjoys sound ecological protection. 

Statistics show that the surface water quality standards in Qinghai province remain higher than the national assessment target.

Sanjiangyuan literally means "the source of three rivers," which is the water tower for all major rivers in China.
