Tibet Women’s Federation delegation visits Nepal

Dec. 15, 2017 -- A Ddelegation from the Women’s Federation of the Tibet Autonomous Region, headed by Zhang Lirong (third from right), visits Nepal.

Dec. 15, 2017 -- A delegation from the Women’s Federation of the Tibet Autonomous Region visited Nepal from Nov. 27 to Dec. 3 at the invitation of the Nepal’s Nationalese Association of Professional Women and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Headed by Zhang Lirong, Inspector of the Women’s Federation of the Tibet Autonomous Region, the delegation held talks with some Nepalese women’s organizations to discuss cultural tourism, education and health, the protection of women and children’s rights as well as the development of traditional handicraft.

Acquiring a first-hand understanding of Nepal’s social and economic development and women’s development in Nepal, the delegation expects more cooperation with the Nepalese side,  enhancing friendship between women of the two countries.
