|Nov. 30, 2017 -- A delegation of Tibetan legislators lead by Luosang Jiangcun, director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress of Tibet Autonomous Region, visited Belgium, Finland and Russia on Nov. 13-22, 2017.
In Brussels, the delegation met with Braque, Speaker of the House in Belgium, visited the Chinese Culture Centre and Woluwe Multilingual School, sat down with local overseas Chinese and exchanged views with China’s mission to the European Union and Chinese diplomats in Belgium.
In Helsinki, the delegation met with Sanna Lauslahti, chairwoman of the Finnish-Chinese Parliamentary Friendship Group, had a panel discussion with Finnish Forest Bureau, talked with overseas Chinese in Finland and held a lecture themed on Tibet for Chinese diplomats in Finland.
In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the delegation met with Melnikov, first deputy secretary of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, talked with local overseas Chinese, and exchanged ideas with Chinese diplomats.
Luosang Jiangcun gave an introduction of the great achievements Tibet has gained in various fields under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and expounded the important spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress.
The delegation received warm welcome during the visit. The three countries have expressed hopes to promote communication and cooperation with Tibet Autonomous Region.
