Chinese deputy Consul General in San Francisco attends Movie Show of West China

Nov. 23, 2017 -- Documentaries Born in China and The Third Polar featuring nature and people in west China were screened in San Francisco on November 17-19, 2017. Chinese deputy Consul General Cha Liyou, Cultural Counsellor Xiao Xiayong, overseas Chinese Fangli Bangqin, David W.Ewing, chairman of the National U.S.-China People's Friendship Association San Francisco Branch as well as teachers and students from San Francisco State University attended the event.

Chinese deputy Consul General Cha Liyou expressed welcome to friends from all circles to attend the event in his short speech before the movie show.

The movie show is an important part of the Experience China 2017 -- A Glimpse of West China, and I hope these movies can show you a beautiful and true China and let you know the prosperous development of China, said Cha.

Born in China, jointly made by the U.S., the UK and China, tells a story about how giant pandas, snow leopards, golden monkeys and antelopes grow up and live, and The Third Polar reflects the harmony between people and nature on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

The Movie Show of West China was greeted with rapturous applause by viewers.
