November 17, 2017 -- The Cultural Exploration of West China in the US, part of the cultural event "Experience China in 2017", kicked off in San Diego, California on Tuesday. The event was co-sponsored by the State Council Information Office (SCIO) of China and the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles.
During the event, fascinating dancing and singing performances given by artists from west China attracted an audience of over 1,200. “The performances are excellent and it is a great opportunity to experience different cultures. This event will help us to get a whole picture of China,” said a member of the audience.
Dai Shuangming, deputy consul general of Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles, said:” A lot of American people lack understanding of China and that is why we bring our culture here.”
“The series activities of the Cultural Exploration of West China have received warm welcome in multiple countries. Due to the essential difference of Chinese and western culture, the performances will give the audience a fresh new experience,” said Lu Guangjin, head of the delegation.
Hernandez, principal of a local language school, said learning courses of Chinese culture could help students to master Chinese language.
