A team of Chinese remeasuring surveyors left the base camp at Mount Qomolangma for a higher spot on its journey to the peak at 2 pm Saturday after they had earlier returned there due to bad weather.
Southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region invested nearly 400 million yuan (about 56 million U.S. dollars) in 2019 to launch about 110 projects on the protection, repair and utilization of the region’s cultural relics, according to local authorities.
