Since the new era, along with China’s reform and opening up, economic development, and integration into globalization, key cultural projects of the country, such as The Annals and Collection of China Ethnic/Folk Literature and Arts, Chinese Festival Chronicles, and Hundred Works of Chinese Epic, sponsored and organized by the state involving the participation of the entire society, have exerted a tremendous impact and thus are hailed as the “Great Wall of Contemporary Chinese Culture”. The Xizang Folk Literature and Art and Xizang’s culture play an important role in the three key cultural projects, and they can be a featured carrier of Chinese cultural concepts (e.g. “Man is integral part of nature”, “Put people first”, and “Help others out of good will”), and have vividly demonstrated the pluralistic integration and harmonious diversity of Chinese civilization.
