China is a multi-ethnic unified country, and many ethnic groups have their own languages and scripts. According to the relevant laws, the common national language and script are Mandarin and standard Chinese characters, and all ethnic groups have the freedom to use and develop their own languages and scripts.

As the main communication tool and civilization carrier of the Tibetan people, the Tibetan language and script not only have a long history and distinctive features, but also possess a rich connotation and unique system.

Since the founding of New China, especially since the reform and opening up, based on the development of bilingual education, the learning and popularization of Tibetan language and script have been effective. On top of this, the transmission of Tibetan language and script has been fruitful through the rescue, collection, collation and publication of ancient documents.

Since the 18th Party Congress, General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to the inheritance and development of the excellent Chinese traditional culture, pointing out that the excellent Chinese traditional culture created and perpetuated by the Chinese nation in thousands of years of history is the root and soul of the Chinese nation. Tibetan ancient books as an important part of Chinese culture, literature has a long history, voluminous, rich in content.
