June 19, 2019 -- Invited by the State Council Information Office of China and the regional government of Tibet Autonomous Region, a group of media delegates visited southeast Tibet’s Nyingchi city on June 10, 2019.
 
Their first stop was Xiga Monba Village, which was also the first stop during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to Tibet last year.
 
During this visit, the delegates admired Tibetan paper making and Tibetan handicrafts, visited Tibetan homes and interacted with local people.
 
The 30-member delegation consists of foreign journalists from countries including the United Kingdom, Italy and Argentina, as well as foreign experts working in China.
 
Villagers make a living from traditional handcrafts, forest resources and transportation. In 2018, the per capita net income of Xiga Village reached 19,000 yuan.
