Aug.2,2017--According to the Lhasa Customs, in the first half of this year, the total import and export value of Tibet Autonomous Region reaches 3.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 79.55%. Among which, the total export value is 1.298 billion yuan, increasing 3.38%, while the import value is 2.105 billion yuan, increasing 2.3 times. The trade deficit is 807 million yuan.
Tibet pays high attention to the important role of foreign trade in promoting economic and social development. A series of policies and measures on promoting foreign trade growth are successively constituted and promulgated, which plays an important role in realizing the substantial increase of export and import trade.
In the first half of this year, the import and export value of Tibet's general trade is 2.341 billion yuan, increasing 2.66 times and accounting for 68.81% of Tibet's total import and export value. France, Nepal, and Belgium are Tibet's three big trading partners.
